Meet the fantastic team at The Harbour Chapel

Fiona Veitch
Owner and Event Planner

"I didn't come from a background in hospitality and in the beginning everyday was a school day, which makes me smile as I originally had a lecturing career in Health and Social Care. I love working with people and have always felt privileged to be a part of their journey, the chapel is a special place and it felt like the natural progression for me.
I learned so much when managing the restoration, it wasn't without its challenges but we met a lot of incredible people along the way, many of whom continue to remain involved today. Every wedding and event at the chapel is unique and once again I have the absolute privilege of connecting with everyone who comes through our doors and becomes a part of our story."

Ewan McIntyre
Owner and Architect

"I left home at the age of 16 to study architecture and have remained in this field ever since. I love our country and feel passionately about our historic buildings so when the oldest Methodist chapel in Scotland came up for sale in my home town I felt the need to protect it and keep it as a part of the community. The restoration required careful thought and consideration and everything that was removed, created or reinstated was done so with care and attention. It's a real privilege to own such beautiful place and an even greater privilege to be able to share it with others and listen to their stories of times gone by. The chapel was built by the people of Dunbar in 1764 and in some respects, it will always belong to them."

Holly Silver
Marketing and Events Coordinator

"I qualified from Queen Margaret University in 2018 with a degree in Events Management. I have always had a need to feel organised and I love a plan! I have worked in hospitality since I was 18 and have learned along the way what I like and equally what I don't like. Being part of large organisations gave me a wealth of experience and I have had the privilege of working in some amazing locations across the UK, but often felt a bit far removed from the clients. The chapel is an intimate venue which now allows me to really get to know each couple and look after them from the very beginning. I love being able to form meaningful relationships and helping people to truly enjoy their day"

Kris Aikman
Head Chef at The Good Table Catering Co.

The Good Table Catering Company is run by Kris Aikman, lover of food, passionate eater and seeker of good food wherever she goes. "I’ve dipped in and out of the hospitality industry for as long as I can remember, getting made redundant from the corporate events industry gave me the opportunity to take the plunge and start my own street food business. Covid saw an end to the street food business and things quickly escalated and I took small steps into event catering. It started with a few grazing tables and boxes, and home deliveries, and over the last couple of years has exploded into full service catering for weddings and events. I love a wedding and there’s nothing better than being asked to cater for a couple on their special day. I like good honest food, food to feed the soul, food to feed the belly, food to feed your guests so they’re well prepared to dance the night away. I work closely with each couple to get their menu exactly the way they want it, from formal sit down meals, to sharing feasts (or sausage and mash if that’s what you want). No request is too big…or too small…"
